EFT Tapping has been extensively investigated for anxiety.

In a large-scale study of 5000 patients seeking
treatment for anxiety across 11 clinics over a 5.5-year period:

* With EFT tapping therapy: significant improvement in 90% of the participants, vs. only 63% the Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) participants.

* Only 3 tapping sessions were needed before anxiety reduced, while an average of 15 was needed for CBT. 

* With EFT tapping, 76% of people had complete relief of symptoms, compared with only 51%  with CBT.

* One year later, the improvements with EFT treatment lasted in 78% of the tapping group, 9% more than with CBT.

Other studies also indicate equivalence or superiority over CBT.
